This a photograph that I took at Nick and Shan's wedding. I did this in the style of Neil Walker. I edited the photograph by blurring the whole background so that the image was focused onto the bride and groom. Also in the style of Walker, I used the bride as my centre piece. On my magazine article this is the only photograph in which you can see the groom. I wanted to focus mostly throughout the task on the bride.

I firstly did this because I was asked to be photographer at the house whilst Shan got ready, this is because it is bad luck for a male to be in the house at the time and for the groom to see his bride. Nick obviously wanted photographs to see her get ready and also as the couple could look through them for the rest of their lives to remember their day and getting ready. I thought that this opportunity would be great to make a magazine article, especially doing something in photography which I have never done before, nor do many get the chance to do without being trained and taught

I think that this photograph shows the feel of the wedding, it shows how the room was decorated, how the bride and groom were dressed for their wedding and it also shows some of the guests which were at the wedding. The mid kiss photograph is a classic photograph used by all photographers to show love and passion. This is a perfect photograph to use, to sum up a wedding.

Wedding photographer Neil Walker

The first wedding photographer that I have decided to research is Neil Walker. After looking at his website I found a liking for his style of photography, which is very vibrant and fun and it stands out from other photographers.

I think that Walker would work best with a younger couple who are to be wed. After looking through the photography on his website I noticed that he works well with wedding

s of other cultures, due to their natural, vibrant lifestyle it fits in perfectly with his editing style and the way that he shoots. After looking at his photography it inspired me into my own photography.

As well as doing a wedding photography shoot, I am focusing mostly on the bride, which is something I've noticed Walker does to. The bride of the couple I am going to be working with is also chinese which will bring an oriental theme to the photographs and the wedding which will allow it to stand out more so.

I did my research of Neil Walker before I did my photography at the wedding. Because I have never had any training in this sort of photography the only way that I could learn how to get the best pictures was to research talented and well known photographers in this area of photography.

When shooting at a wedding Walker knowsthat all of the special bits of the wedding have been pre planned and obviously the guests want full view of the bride and groom. Therefore he stands in the background and shoots w

ithout taking control, this way you can ensure that every photograph is their natural look and feeling at that moment in time, it's not all fake smiles, fake tears when being told where to stand and look. I think that this is vital for a photographer especially for weddings, when looking back in years to come you can see and feel the same emotions as you did at that moment.

Due to the emotional connection within a wedding, Walker insists he meets the couple before the wedding to learn about the couple, as in their personality, who they are, what they want and all the other basic knowledge of the wedding.

I think that this is a nice over the shoulder photograph of the bride. The photograph is clearly to be showing off the brides veil and pearly necklace which shows to me that she had a "white wedding". I like how the photographer in this has also included the groom in this photograph and by doing an over the should shot has shown that the man is bigger than her and in affect will protect her. They are both looking down and to me this symbolises they are thinking and looking into their selves at what they have.

I like the props in this photograph such as the glasses of wine and buttonhole. I like how the photographer has also edited the picture, a plain white background and blurred the groom slightly which gives more focus on the centre piece which is the bride.

This image I screen shot from the website that I have been looking at for my inspiration for my magazine article. I have decided I want to use the same layout as this online wedding magazine.

I really like this image, I think having the back and white couple and a slightly coloured background really makes the bride and groom stand out, you can hardly notice that their colour has been saturated due to a wedding dress being white and the tux being black. You can only tell via skin tone. The yellow flowers really brighten up the photograph and draw all of the attention onto the kissing couple.

The centre of the photograph is of the bride and groom in mid kiss, I like how this photograph has been set up, the composition works very well. The fact that the couple are leaning to one side and bent down also gives the impression that the couple are deeply in love by leaning towards the ground as though, 'going deeper'. It also makes you think of when the vikor at a ceremony says "you may now kiss the bride".

As well as the obvious messages in the photograph it also makes me think that this wedding may have been up beat and very snazzy and jazzy. The pose that the couple are holding makes me think of somebody Jazz dancing, or holding a saxaphone.
